How many times do we have to tell you this, old man??

Aye dos mio, Rey Rey! When are you gonna learn? Never in the history of American lucha libre has there ever been a more stabable back than that of Rey Mysterio. Rey does everything in his power to teach, make friends and guide the new generation to the promised land. This past Friday on SmackDown, Santos Escobar of the LWO (Latino World Order, which both Escobar and Mysterio are a member of) placed himself in the position of a turn coat and turned heel on his “mentor” by whooping his monkey ass! Sad thing is, I saw this coming. We ALL saw this coming! And even though we did, we still feel sorry for Rey.

Rey is that guy that keeps getting cheated on by his girlfriend and keeps taking her back.

“No way dude! Shiela would never cheat on me…again. She promised!”

And because he’s our closest friend, we don’t argue. Deep down they know just as much as we do. Rey has always been there. Some of grew with him strictly in WWE, some of us older folk remember him in WCW. He has always been great. But he’s also always been a tad bit gullible. It’s not stupidity or naivety, some people just want to see the world shine! And the world steadily stabs good ol boy Rey in the back.

In 2006 Rey teamed up with Batista, where they won the WWE Tag Team Championships. They then lost the titles 2 months later and Batista lost his shit. He turned in Rey and squoze his head to the point where Rey bled through his nose. Then of course there was Eddie Guerrero. In a way the fights between them were inevitable as they were never a true tag team but they were Tag Team Champions at the same time they had a singles match against each other at WrestleMania 21. Kinda awkward but nothing wrong with competition between 2 friends. Now there is something wrong with Eddie Guerrero possibly fathering Rey’s son, Dominic, soon to be know as the great “Dirty Dom”.

Speaking of, his own son stabbed him in the back when Dominic Mysterio decided to leave his father’s wing for that of Mami’s. Rey brought his son into the WWE with the hopes of him starting his own legacy and becoming a future luchador like their family before them. Dom said nah. Now he’s a part of the Judgement Day, where he has had more success than he’s has with his father. Soooo, maybe that was good decision 🤷🏾‍♂️

And now we have Santos Escobar. With another knife in the back from Santos, it seems Rey is in the front running to be the lead actor in the Julius Caesar movie. I want so bad for Rey to stop trusting these busters, but I think it’s just in his blood to help. He’s a genuinely good person and wants the wrestling world to progress. Only problem is, the wrestlers he’s teaching don’t live by that same sentiment and want to get to the top as soon as possible. You wanna be a big star, don’t forget to grab this knife as you’re walking to the ring, cause Rey Mysterio is coming right behind you.
